Sheri Vettel has been a licensed Registered Dietitian for over a decade and has had significant experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for a variety of complex health conditions in both clinical and community settings. She received her Bachelors of Foods and Nutrition from Meredith College and went on to pursue her Accredited Dietetic Internship Program there as well, which included rotations at the Duke Diet and Fitness Center and Eating Well Magazine in Vermont. She received her Masters of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013 (which included public health work in Zambia!) and completed her Certificate of Functional and Integrative Nutrition in 2019. She is currently working on becoming an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Sheri has provided nutrition and wellness talks at many community events, as well as nutritious cooking demonstrations at her local farmers market.
Sheri began to weave yoga into her nutrition teachings after receiving her 200 hour yoga certification from the Triad Yoga Institute in 2017. She continues to study Ayurveda and plans to pursue a certification in Ayurvedic health counseling in the near future. She currently teaches Food & Flow Vinyasa at SouthEnd Brewery, Greensboro Downtown Yoga and children’s yoga classes at Wren’s Nest in Burlington. Sheri is an advocate for increasing access to nutritious food in her community and is a member of the Community Food Task Force and local food council. When she is not Food & Flowing you can likely find her on an adventure with her husband and two young sons—they love camping, hiking, and drum circles. Her favorite fruits and veggies? Fresh figs, avocado, and okra (yup!) |
Justin Vettel received his Certificate in Permaculture Design from Sow Permaculture in 2017. Since then he has become an active member of the Greensboro Permaculture Guild participating in and leading various programs (including lectures on biochar, vermicomposting and bokashi fermentation). He is currently working on becoming a Master Gardener in Guilford County and received his Level. 1 Certification in Korean Natural Farming in 2019. Justin has experience creating beautiful regenerative landscapes for home and business owners locally. He believes that cultivating a healthy microbiome for the soil is just as important as balancing our own human microbiomes.
Justin also enjoys playing West African drums and leads many drum circles across the state. He loves to hike barefoot and can whip up many delicious and nutritious (Sheri approved!) meals in the kitchen. |
